The pads are designed to ensure the installation and dismantling of three-phase electricity meters (combined and transformer switching) at the metering point without disconnecting the load. The pads allow measuring the current and voltage of the load without disconnecting the load and disrupting the metering of electricity connected to the pad meter.

According to climatic and mechanical requirements, the pads meet the requirements of DSTU 22266 when used indoors without aggressive vapors, dust and gases.
The insulation between the current-carrying parts of the different phases of the pads, with the jumpers open, can withstand for one minute the effect of a sinusoidal AC voltage of 2,000 V at a frequency of 50 Hz.
Pad clamps can withstand ten times the current overload for 0.5 s.
